The main Christmas Markets in Prague this year, will be again like every year on the Old Town Square from the 1'st of December 2012 till the 6'th of January 2013

The Christmas markets will be open daily, including on the Christmas Eve and Day and New Years Day with one of the main Christmas market's situated directly opposite our Grand hotel Praha on the Old Town Square so you can join in the fun even just by opening your window's of our Grand Deluxe room.
But you can also enjoy the views from our Mozart Cafe, which is situated on the first floor of our Grand hotel Praha, with a special Christmas menu which will be served from the 23rd till the 26th of December 2012, it will be the best choice for this Christmas and if you are thinking about booking your accommodation with us in Grand hotel Praha this Christmas season I will then recommend our Romantic Package, the Mozart Cafe dinner is part of the special package deal!!!
The Prague Christmas markets are the key ingredient of the Christmas in Prague, where you can souk up the festive atmosphere of the city centre, which will bring locals and tourists together to share the holiday spirit. There are also some other Christmas markets like on the Wenceslas Square and smaller ones on the Republic Square all of them are only few minutes walking distance of each other

The markets consist of brightly decorated, wooden huts selling a variety of traditional handcrafted Czech products, such as wooden toys, Bohemian Crystal, jewellery, embroidery, metal-ware, ceramic plates and mugs, scented candles, hats, gloves and scarves, beautifully dressed puppets and dolls, and of course Christmas tree ornaments. Indeed, visitors may find some very nice Christmas stocking fillers. You will be also able to observe traditional foods being made right infront of you, like sweet traditional Czech pastries Trdelnik and large hams roasting on spits and tasty barbecued sausages! Yummy...:) Or try Pilsner Urquell and other Czech beers on offer and warm drinks like cup of hot wine/svarene vino in Czech, which will warm you up!!!
You will also find an animal stable which will be great to see if you are visiting Prague with your kids! Your children can stroke a sheep, donkey or goats and there is also a children play wooden house, where your kids can participate in making Christmas decorations and watch puppet theatre (shows are in Czech, but can still be entertaining).
Children's Wooden Cabin opening times:
01st December - 29th December 2012.
Mon-Fri 15:00-19:00; Sat-Sun 10:00-19:00.
(Except: 24/12 10:00-15:00. 25-26/12 12:00-19:00.)
Puppet Fairytale Theatre - Sat-Sun 15:00.
But most impressive of all will be the Christmas tree, which will be position on the Old Town Square and dressed in a blaze of lights, it is turned on around 5 PM every night and it is really spetacular sight!!!
Well what else to writte, only maybe just that festive atmosphere in Prague throughout December is simply WONDERFUL so come on and joyn in the fun!!!
